“How does it feel ” dei London Grammar è il brano che ho scelto come DiscoShow della settimana.

I London Grammar sono un gruppo musicale inglese formatosi a Nottingham nel 2009 ed è composto dalla cantante Hannah Reid, dal polistrumentista Dominic Major e dal chitarrista Dan Rothman.

Debuttano nel 2013 con un EP intitolato “Metal & Dust”. Nello stesso anno il 6 settembre ha fatto seguito l’album “If You Wait”.

Nel 2017 arriva il secondo album dal titolo “Truth Is a Beautiful Thing”.

Il 19 agosto 2020 viene rilasciato “Baby It’s You” .

Il 1 ottobre successivo viene annunciato Californian Soil, singolo che da il titolo al loro album inizialmente previsto per il 12 febbraio 2021 e poi posticipato al 9 aprile 2021.

Il 4 gennaio 2021 rilasciano Lose Your Head, terzo singolo estratto dall’album.

Il nuovo ed ultimo singolo si chiama “How does it feel” ed è coprodotto dal producer e autore Steve Mac.

La musica dei London Grammar è stata definita dagli stessi come «un misto di suoni ambient, eterei e classici» con chitarre malinconiche, voci svettanti e testi lamentosi. La voce è quella potente e cupa di Hannah Reid.

La cantante contribuisce scrivendo i testi che spesso sono autobiografici ed emotivi, riguardanp infatti le persone che hanno fatto parte della sua vita.
